Have you spent months trying to get traffic to your website and it seems like it’s going to take forever to get traffic to your website?  Yes attracting traffic to your website is hard, but it’s not impossible.  The days of “build it and they will come” are long over.  There’s a one word key secret that can aide in getting traffic to your website and I will go over that shortly.  Yes, you need to learn the basics like the rest of us, as they are important.

Yes, you want to do your publishing on a consistent basis along with collecting your audience’s email addresses.  You also want your posts shared on social media.  All this is very important and can’t be over looked.  Check out this article that I wrote – How To Drive Traffic To Your Webiste In 2020

In addition to what I shared in that post I just mentioned, There’s a one word secret which is “Promoting”.  You got to do daily promotions to draw that extra traffic to your website.  And while this key, there is also another key option to make use of that I will go over shortly.

It will seem like it’s going to take forever just relying on your posts to drive traffic to your blog.  So to get past this you have to promote yourself on a daily basis like at least 5 days a week or more.  You’ll want to have at least 5 different social media accounts to get the job done.  I recommend the following:  Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Linkedin.  Here are some key points for these social media accounts:

  • Facebook and Instagram – share 1 to 2 times a day
  • Twitter – Share 5 times a day as it’s a much faster social network
  • Pinterest – share at least 5 pins minimum daily
  • Linkedin – share once a day

Doing this will have a positive impact on your traffic both to your accounts and to your blog or website.

Now it would seem like it would take a lot of work to do this every day.  That would seem so unless you could post and share all at once like I do.  But if you are not careful, this can lead you to being penalized by Google and you don’t want that.  So how do you post your content when you need to and promote daily without getting penalized?

While you can post to Instagram once and share to others via Instagram, there’s another easier and more efficient way.

Some of you may have seen some of my promotions and may have already noticed something different when it came to the URL where the promotions were coming from and focusing on.  This is because I have 2 websites.  One is for everything having to do with affiliate marketing, i.e:  Timabeck.com and the other site is my administrative site which I don’t promote and say much about.  That’s because the administrative site is basically unimportant for public use aside from promoting purposes.

The secret of this is that I use some plugins that help me publish to social media all at once so I don’t have to do all that tedious work.  I don’t like tedious work at all.  Here’s the reason I use my admin site for this.  If I did all this through Timabeck.com, Google would penalize me for posting “fluff” on my blog.  The promotions are far less in word counts compared to my normal publishing, so Google would penalize me for it.  So to avoid that, I use my admin site.  Now you can do this too, if you have a host that allows for another site for free or at a discount.  As far as any penalties, if any, I don’t care when it comes to this site as I don’t try to attract traffic to it.  Any traffic that gets sent to Timabeck.com as a result from doing this is known as referral traffic, and I will take that!

Now, if you can find another way to do the same thing, that’s okay too!  The main concern is not to get penalized by google when doing this as you don’t want to negate any progress made by your content that you are publishing.

The WordPress Repository has a number of very useful plugins that can aide you in taking care of your promotional needs, should you decide to do something like this.  Some of these plugins include and are not limited to:  Blog2social and Nelio Content are the two that I use to accomplish this.  Both of these plugins also offer a premium option.  I use the free versions to get what I need done.

Experience can be a good teacher in leading one to tricks like this, but when you are new or relatively new, you don’t want to have to spend a lot of time working on achieving your goals.  So it’s nice to have tricks like this available to make use of.

The only drawback to this trick is that any traffic that comes to an alternate site may choose not to click over to your main website.  There’s little that one can do about that except to make what you are offering so enticing that they can’t resist the temptation to come on over to your main site.  So the answer to that would be to provide the best content and offers that you can to attract visitors that convert to your site.  You want to remember that if you make use of the alternate website idea is that you want to give a sense of urgency that visitors should go to your main website.  Whether it be a social media thing or an alternative site, your main website is where it all counts.
