Beginners Guide To Video Marketing

With the notion that everybody has got to start somewhere, if you have no experience in the area of video marketing, don’t let that stop you.  There are plenty of resources online to empower you in this area.  While I am very knowledgeable in affiliate marketing and designing websites, I will openly admit that this is one area that I am new in.  But I am providing this content based on my limited knowledge and research that I’ve just done.

I too have recently started having bi-weekly videocasts (recently as per the date of this post) and while I am not that experienced, I am not letting that stop me.  For my video casts you can view them here.

Now wait…

If you are thinking hey, this guy is new at this, why should I read on, and the answer is that I’ve done research to share with you to help empower you to take advantage of video marketing…

My point was that just because you are new at something, doesn’t mean you can’t do it.

So, let’s start with….

What is Video Marketing.

Video marketing is nothing more than the use of video to empower people, and drive sales, which is a big part of digital marketing.

Statistically speaking.

More and more people prefer to watch video marketing now more than ever.  Videos can have a positive effect on conversion rate as well.  I’ve seen online that around 50% of Internet users prefer to see a video online before making their purchase in stores or online.

Conversion Funnel Marketing

The Sales Funnel.

In a nutshell, it’s all about sales and what part of the sales funnel are you needing to create a video for.

Starting with the top of the sales funnel, you are concerned about bringing about awareness to what you are promoting.  This aspect is primarily what all my videos are about so as to drive people to my website.  I let the website do all the actual work.  This is just the way I have set myself up, it’s up to you how you handle your video marketing.

The next part of the sales funnel focuses on consideration or interest and desire.  This is where a relationship starts to form between the potential customer and you the affiliate marketer and/or your website/product.

Consideration content is normally based upon your area of expertise showing that you are some what of an expert in your field or niche that one can trust.

The potential customer starts forming trust and a deeper interest in what you are promoting.

The next level of the funnel deals with conversion or action on the customer’s part.  At this point this is where the relationship building can pay off as the customer is making the decision to purchase your product or program.  If you are making a conversion video, then the most important metric is of course sales.

What videos you decide to create would depend on your goals and objectives, my main purpose is the combination of awareness and to drive people to my website.

What is your strategy?

Develop your strategy.

I explained my strategy where I create awareness type videos to drive traffic to my website.  It’s up to you how you go about this.  Everyone is different, in my case I let my website do all the work.  That could change later.

Are you just going to create awareness?

Or are you going to go further and try to sell via your videos as described in the Sales Funnel section above.

Empower yourself.

If you are looking for a simple but empowering platform to grow your audience, you need to get on over to Biteable.com today.  If you would like to see a sample of what can be done, check out an old video that I did quite some time ago – see my sample video here.  Remember it’s not in use anymore as I only am using it as a sample now.  I am not affiliated with Biteable.com but I do highly recommend them for affiliate or online marketers needing to create videos.

Two easy was.

There are different ways to go about creating your videos, the easiest or simple way is through our cell phone’s built-in camera which is how I do it.  It all depends on how you want to go about creating your videos.  Another way is using PowerPoint which is what I started with.

If you are using your cell phone to create your videos, you can either create a script or an outline.  I have found for me an outline works better.  You’ll have to experiment which works well for you.
